A0628 - Pathological Megalodon Tooth - This is an awesome slightly pathological Megalodon tooth that I found diving yesterday (6/5) in 70 feet of water. The last photo shows some of the cool teeth I found yesterday. This one has an unusually small and thin root and a "dent" on the non-display side. It is hard to see in the photos but it looks like someone pushed in the non-display side and made a thumb-like indentation in the center of the non-display side blade just below the root and left some unusual wrinkles. It is hard to photograph but you see it in person pretty clearly. I found this and another pathological tooth in the same place on the same dive yesterday so it makes you wonder. See a0627 for the other one. This tooth measures almost 3-3/4" long and over 2-3/4" wide. The enamel and bourrelet are in top condition and the serrations are super sharp.
