High Quality hastalis (Extinct Mako) Shark Tooth
This is a giant collector quality hastalis giant White Shark tooth. It measures over 2-1/2″ long and over 1-2/3″ wide. This shark was a direct ancestor of the modern Great White Shark but it had been known for years as a fossilized Mako tooth until it was reclassified. Still many collectors call it a Mako. The blade and root are in excellent condition. Includes display stand, certificate of authenticity.
Scientists believe these giant sharks cruised the waters off the East Coast 3-10 Million years ago and grew to 60 feet long. I dive in 40 to 100 feet of water to find the fossilized teeth I sell. I can be reached at email@example.com with any questions.
