Giant Lightly Pyritized Museum Quality Jet-Black Megalodon Shark Tooth

This is a giant pyritized museum quality jet-black Megalodon tooth that I found diving recently in 40 feet of water near Savannah GA. On most of the pyritized teeth I find the pyrite is in the bourrelet but in this one there are small specks of pyrite in the root.  It is hard to see in photos because they show up as glare but it is there.  It measures over 4-1/8″ long and over 3″ wide. This is in the top 1% of all the black that I find. The black enamel and root are in top condition. The tip and serrations are super sharp and just about every one is in place. It is a stunning black tooth that will add to any collection. Includes display stand and certificate of authenticity .

Scientists believe these giant sharks cruised the waters off the East Coast 3-10 Million years ago and grew to 60 feet long.  I dive in 40 to 100 feet of water to find the fossilized teeth I sell.   I can be reached at [email protected] with any questions.
