Purchase includes one from this group with the longest edge over 3-1/4″ long. They are all largw very high quality Megalodon teeth from a dive in 100 feet of water off Wilmington NC. The enamel and root are all in great condition. Includes display stand and certificate of authenticity.

The Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator ever to have lived in the ocean. This prehistoric shark could have grown to about 60 feet (18 meters) in length and had a bite force that far exceeded that of any known animal, including the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Megalodon’s diet likely consisted of whales, dolphins, seals, and other large marine mammals. Its teeth, could reach over 7 inches (18 cm) in length, The Megalodon is thought to have gone extinct around 3.6 million years ago, possibly due to changes in the marine environment and competition with other predators.
