MASSIVE High Quality Polished Megalodon Shark Tooth

This is an awesome polished Megalodon tooth. The blade on this tooth has been ground and polished to a glossy shine. The root is nice but has holes from boring clams that tried to eat into the tooth mistaking it for a shell with a creature inside.  It kind of adds to the tooth showing the environment it sat in for so long. It measures 5-1/4″ long and 4″ wide. I found it diving recently in 100 feet of water near Wilmington NC. Price includes display stand, certificate of authenticity.

The Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator ever to have lived in the ocean. This prehistoric shark could have grown to about 60 feet (18 meters) in length and had a bite force that far exceeded that of any known animal, including the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Megalodon’s diet likely consisted of whales, dolphins, seals, and other large marine mammals. Its teeth, could reach over 7 inches (18 cm) in length, The Megalodon is thought to have gone extinct around 3.6 million years ago, possibly due to changes in the marine environment and competition with other predators. I find the teeth that I sell SCUBA diving along the East Coast of the US in 40 to over 100 feet of water.
