This is a collector quality hastalis giant White Shark tooth . It measures over 2-1/8″ long and almost almot 1-1/2″ wide. This shark was a direct ancestor of the modern Great White Shark but it had been known for years as a fossilized Mako tooth until it was reclassified. Still many collectors call it a Mako. The blade and root are in excellent condition. Includes display stand, certificate of authenticity.
Scientists believe these giant sharks cruised the waters off the East Coast 3-10 Million years ago and grew to 60 feet long. I dive in 40 to 100 feet of water to find the fossilized teeth I sell. I can be reached at bill@megateeth.com with any questions.
