$495.00This is a massive 5.95″ long high quality Megalodon tooth from a dive in 100 feet of water off Wilmington NC. It measures almost 6″ long and 4-1/8″ wide. The enamel and root are in very nice condition. Includes display stand and certificate of authenticity.
The Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator ever to have lived in the ocean. This prehistoric shark could have grown to about 60 feet (18 meters) in length and had a bite force that far exceeded that of any known animal, including the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Megalodons’ diet likely consisted of whales, dolphins, seals, and other large marine mammals. Its teeth, could reach over 7 inches (18 cm) in length, The Megalodon is thought to have gone extinct around 3.6 million years ago, possibly due to changes in the marine environment and competition with other predators. I find the teeth that I sell SCUBA diving along the East Coast of the US in 40 to over 100 feet of water.

It measures 6-1/8″ long and 4-1/8″ wide. The oversized root is amazing. The enamel has some peel but it is mostly intact. It has holes from boring clams that tried to eat into the tooth mistaking it for a shell with a creature inside. It kind of adds to the tooth showing the environment it sat in for so long. Includes display stand and certificate of authenticity.
