$875.00I have several teeth in my collection with cool areas of feeding marks or chips and this one is unique. It measures well over 5″ long and over 4″ wide. There are chips from feeding down the left side but the right side is untouched. This one is a massive collector quality Megalodon tooth that I found diving in 40 feet of water near Savannah GA. It is in the top 10% of all that I find even if you count the feeding damage as a negative. The enamel and root are in great condition. The serrations are super sharp and just about every one is in place including the tip. It is a stunning massive tooth that will add to any collection. Includes display stand and certificate of authenticity.
The Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator ever to have lived in the ocean. This prehistoric shark could have grown to about 60 feet (18 meters) in length and had a bite force that far exceeded that of any known animal, including the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Megalodon’s diet likely consisted of whales, dolphins, seals, and other large marine mammals. Its teeth, could reach over 7 inches (18 cm) in length, The Megalodon is thought to have gone extinct around 3.6 million years ago, possibly due to changes in the marine environment and competition with other predators.
