This is a giant top quality Megalodon tooth. The enamel, bourrelet and root are very nice. The serrations are super sharp and most are in place. It has some feeding damage near the tip that actually shows what this creature was capable of.  It is a killer giant tooth at a great price.

The Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator ever to have lived in the ocean. This prehistoric shark could have grown to about 60 feet (18 meters) in length and had a bite force that far exceeded that of any known animal, including the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Megalodon’s diet likely consisted of whales, dolphins, seals, and other large marine mammals. Its teeth, could reach over 7 inches (18 cm) in length, The Megalodon is thought to have gone extinct around 3.6 million years ago, possibly due to changes in the marine environment and competition with other predators.
