Massive Museum Quality Jet-Black hastalis (Mako) Shark Tooth
This is a stunning Museum Quality hastalis (also called extinct Mako) tooth. The hastalis was a direct ancestor of the modern Great White Shark. It measures 3+” long and 2+” wide. The enamel and root are in great condition. No tooth is perfect but this is in the top 1% of all that I find. Includes certificate of authenticity and display stand.
Scientists believe these giant sharks cruised the waters off the East Coast 3-10 Million years ago and grew to 60 feet long. I dive in 40 to 100 feet of water to find the fossilized teeth I sell. I can be reached at bill@megateeth.com with any questions.
