Giant High Quality hastalis ( Mako) Shark Tooth

This is a stunning high quality giant hastalis White Shark tooth.  This shark was a direct ancestor of the modern Great White Shark but it had been known for years as a fossilized Mako tooth until it was reclassified. Still many collectors call it a Mako.  It measures just under 3″ long and almost 2″ wide. The enamel and root are in great condition. No tooth is perfect but this is in the top 5% of all that I find.
